IV Group is the first company worldwide to introduce a new and revolutionary technique for metalizing plastic parts, at its Norwegian production unit.

It is a complete integrated system where plastic parts first are injection molded, and then metalized in one automatic process.

– This piece of equipment is amazing, says Norwegian project manager Sten-Anders Lian.

– Previously, the production contained several different steps to hurdle; first the injection molding, then time to dry and after that, by manual labor, hanging the items on fixtures before the final move in to the metallization oven. We also used to outsource this particular part of the production, which meant an incredibly time-consuming production flow, and significant losses in quality control. Now, however, everything runs rapidly and smoothly without manual interference and at a much lower cost.

– The new way, in which the manufacturing is performed, makes for improvements in the work environment. But most of all, it cuts production time by close to 70%, concludes Sten-Anders.

IV Group continuously strives towards cutting times in the production process, improve quality and as a consequence, lower the costs for the clients.
